If you are to pyramid any pipe—this mean any pipe stacked on top of other pipe—you must not leave a partial layer on top. If the last layer has exactly 1 piece less than the previous layer then you are ok, if it has 2 or less pieces than the previous layer then you must strip it. Your strap must touch all cargo. One the load on the left if will not touch any pipe on the top layer except the 2 in the middle and the outside pieces. On the load on the right your strap will touch all pipe across the top and all the pipe below the board.
